District 12
Georgia PTA divides Georgia into 13 PTA Districts in order to establish a closer working
relationship with councils and local units.  A District Director serves as a liaison from Georgia
PTA Board of Directors and works with the local PTAs in geographical areas of the state.  The
Executive Committee of the district consists of the District Director and elected district officers
and appointed Parliamentarian.  The district board consists of the District Executive Committee,
committee chairpersons, council presidents and members of the state PTA board of directors
residing within the district.

District 12 includes:

Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Franklin, Gwinnett, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison,
Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union,  Walton and White counties.

Student Advocacy Day

February 9, 2011

Make plans now to attend.  Register by January 28, 2011.

We invite Georgia's youth in our PTAs/PTSAs to join us at the Fulton County
Administration Building on Wednesday, February 9 for a briefing on legislative
issues and advocacy.  Immediately following this session, we will visit the
Capitol and see legislators at work when we visit the Senate and House
Chamber galleries.  Students may also visit legislators 'on the ropes'.
