| The role of Council is to offer training, support, and encouragement for all local PTA units in our area of Gwinnett County. Area II Gwinnett Council of PTAs serves local PTA units in the North Gwinnett, Collins Hill, Peachtree Ridge, Norcross, Mountain View, Lanier and Duluth Cluster of Gwinnett County. |
The Mission of the PTA
- To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship
- To raise standards of home life
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth
- To bring into close relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate
intelligently in the education of children and youth
- To develop between educators and the general public, such united efforts to secure for all children
and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education
- To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
- To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
is a national movement that inspires parents to become more involved in their children's education. Gwinnett County Public Schools encourages educators, parents, grandparents, and community members to support this effort and Gwinnett's students. |
